at about this time when the 60s had peaked so there was The beach boys the surf craze the surf movies Elvis doing them as well and everything else car and motorcycle and whatever but the garage bands all formed around the world in 1965 when The Beatles toured so in every City had a dozen live music venues open and all those school kids formed bands with their buddies using catalogue guitars and worse three chords and the truth no mixing board no pa no lighting show and it breaking into two camps the world dressed nice haircuts and then the Proto hippie rough singing Blues leaning ignored type of band which you'll see in the movie riot on sunset strip now it's on YouTube but you can't type it in and see you have to go to a channel like 60 s psychedelic movies and basically the world had to scramble to make enough equipment that's why Japan started selling unbranded guitars department stores in England like Teisco I never knew my first bass guitar which I thought was that David Bowie Ziggy 70 s era thing was a 64 stage master first axe made by Ibanez and recently seen it used in photos in the documentary Laurel canyon by byrds believe it or not it was made in 1964 so it is of that time and of those needs for those people I never knew what they would sell brand new and then on TV their showed a black and white reporter in the 60s Australia talking in front of the window of a music store about all this and there it was the price tag was 900 and next was the fender with the 1800 Price tag not much as changed and technology with apps like GarageBand and AI has now thrusted all into a new realm but up until the 90s we had the same level as 50s and 60s bands to begin with I actually liked a handful of songs they did before they broke up bass driven and still very influential appearing stimulating you can't really say that for most of the other 60s music at the end of the decade it's basically been worn out but you can hear the modern band style in this last record
