I have told multiple people who claimed they weren't racist straight up that I'm racist even though I try not to be and that's because as a white person I've been taught even subconsciously to hate others. It's an everyday battle and it's not easy but it's also not even a fraction of the pain and difficulty of living life as a poc.

Thank you for this. It’s important. Another thing is that your white friends who aren’t ready to take this journey will start to distance themselves or blatantly ghost you. I don't know if this counts the same way but the only time I said the n-word my whole life I was like 10ish and I was steaming me playing a video game and some kid I knew irl who's a white kid called me the n-word and and I said don't call me the n-word but I used the actual word it has been so long I don't even know which version of the n-word it is I just remember my best friend at the time clipped it and made fun of me saying it was black mail TwT
