@lila.menopause.su: I don’t know who needs to hear this, but feeling hungrier in perimenopause isn’t a character flaw. And “just have smaller portions” isn’t much help when you’re already hungry. 🙃 Hunger is affected by more than willpower—how much you eat, what’s in your meals, sleep and hormonal changes can all be part of the picture. I’d start with the everyday questions: Did you actually eat breakfast? Was lunch enough to be a meal? Is there some protein and fiber on the plate? How has your sleep been? If the answer is “coffee, a few bites and four hours,” there’s something practical to look at before another food rule. A big, persistent change in hunger is worth discussing with a clinician too. You’re allowed to take your hunger seriously. Your hunger deserves attention, not a lecture about discipline. You don’t have to turn a lunch that doesn’t get skipped into another thing to figure out alone. Lila can help with a meal plan that fits your food preferences.
