it isnt Yuri bait :( I feel like yall aren't getting the ending, their love has been implied through out the whole show, lara isn't leaving forever she just needs time to find herself. lara has always been restricted one way or another, laras love for mari literally gave her a will to live and leave the resentment she had for humans. laras home will always be mari these two just need some time apart (T▽T) I will say it is rushed but despite that I personally say its a beautiful ending.

It's implied they'll find their way back to eachother eventually. Lara needs time to rediscover herself and find a way to love herself before she can fully love Mari in the way she deserves to be loved. I found it bittersweet, but realistic.

Tbh it feels like they made the ending unnecessarily depressing for no reason? I guess I can understand Lara wanting to explore the world and find herself without a romantic relationship after being pressured to find love, but they kind of framed it as if she’s leaving forever even though I don’t think she even moved that far. It just seemed weird and unfinished to me. Like, they couldn’t have hugged goodbye or anything?

en el final Lara se va para explorar el mundo por si misma crecer y evolucionar con sus propias piernas sin que nadie le dicte lo que tiene que hacer, pero con la promesa de que volverá a encontrarse con Mari. Se que puede ser confuso y no gusta a la gente por no ser más explícito a la hora de representar el amor que sienten, pero este final es una referencia al final del legendario anime yuri UTENA

in my opinion, and based off of some things i’ve read online from others, i feel that the ending acknowledged that lara truly loves mari but she also wanted to be human and deserves the chance to find out what the human world is like. lara has been curious about humans since she was little and now she finally has the freedom to explore the world while knowing who she loves. while it would’ve been nice for them to maybe have a kiss it doesn’t discredit their feelings for one another and it doesn’t mean they won’t ever see each other again. lara deserves the chance to experience life on her own and then after that she knows mari will be there waiting for her, they’re both so young and it’s okay not to settle down for love immediately. i think the show wanted to convey that, while love is a driving force, being an individual matters too.

I think it's more on a slowburn thing than an instant romantic love. Lara wanted to navigate and understand the human world on her own and Mari let her go openly, besides the last episode is open ending and we're gonna have a manga adaptation in the future anyway

i think otherwise since mari was infact killed by the blade, proving that she was her love. but the way this story was written was not at all to highlight their relationship as romantic, it’s like they were trying their hardest to push it besides for a larger audience willing to deny it
