Office settings can be so damn toxic! I was a medical assistant for 5yrs, my mental health was so bad during these times, my hair was falling out on multiple meds, I was miserable. I went to nursing school and obtain my nursing license. I am much happier now

I feel the same. It’s the 5x8s for me. I miss the flexibility of 3x12s. It aligns more with my lifestyle rn.

Everyone’s experience is different. Out patient nursing was the best thing I could have ever done. Make more money and I have the best coworkers ever! Literally like family. Sounds like that was just a terrible place to work in general.

I hate outpatient, it’s a true struggle. The drama and low pay aren’t worth it. It’s hard to find a tech job in inpatient. Current nursing student (have one more year left). Pushing through since they pay for me to go to school but once I become a nurse I’m out

I went back to bedside from outpatient because I do not like leaving my house five days a week. Also when you’re a doctor’s specific office nurse it causes hell when you call out sick or even have a doctors appointment. I felt like I was too young to be there and the environment was too predictable daily. Not to mention no options for overtime bc it’s m-f only.
