I got my prom dress from the bridesmaids section at David’s bridal. Now of course, it’s been almost 12 years, but it was $125 then, and the cut and color were cute and the style was up my alley (very Athenian and drapey with a halter neck and a keyhole neckline and a beaded empire waist in a very flattering aubergone color). Maybe I just got lucky, but you could take a peek there!

girl... we just did this. I was actually surprised by our dress buying experience. It actually went well and thats not at all what I was expecting. Buuuuuttttttt I 1000000% agree about the pricing. like are you actually kidding me?! I told my daughter i would pay $250 and whatever the cost was she would pay the difference. tell me why the cheaper dresses were around $500?!?! girl my sweet baby paid $300 towards her own dress. I felt terrible making her do that. but shes a senior and she loved her dress. ugh highway robbery seriously.
