Have you tried switching insurance companies? Sounds silly but not all of them are created equal. Some are better at meeting needs and covering necessary procedures.

It’s really crazy how insurances can be im a pharmacy technician and I got a coworker who is a medical biller and the amount of times he tells us insurances are horrible is insane.

That sucks ass. Like really. Insurance and the healthcare system fucking sucks here. Also im not sure if this applies to skilled nursing but from my knowledge you can very much appeal your fathers case and fight for those days (even though you shouldn’t need to in the first place) if you haven’t already. I’d say try talking to your provider or care coordinator, im not really sure how it works but I really wish you luck 🙏. It’s also worth a shot contacting your states quality insurance organization, if you haven’t already.
