Refinishing an ENTIRE bedroom set. I’m working my way through a full 7-piece bedroom set, and this long dresser was up next! I stripped the top to bare wood, cleaned it with lacquer thinner, sanded smooth, and used contour blocks and my SurfPrep for all the curves. After pre-stain conditioner, I used Briarsmoke and then a layer of Hickory gel stain for extra depth. Once it was sealed with shellac and topcoat, the base went into the tent for primer, paint, and a fresh topcoat. I finished it off with the original patina hardware, and now this beauty can join the matching nightstands I finished a couple weeks ago. On to the next piece in this huge set!
