@abazudosen: 🚨 That traffic fine SMS might not be from FRSC. Scammers are sending fake SMS messages claiming that recipients have committed traffic offences and directing them to fraudulent websites. This is called SMISHING — phishing through SMS. The dangerous part isn’t necessarily the small “fine” they’re asking you to pay. The real target can be your card details, banking credentials, OTPs and personal information. Remember: ❌ Don’t click suspicious links ❌ Don’t enter your card/bank details ❌ Never share your OTP or PIN ✅ Verify through the organisation’s official website or contact channel ✅ If you’re unsure, ask a cybersecurity professional ✅ If you’ve already submitted financial information, contact your bank immediately A message can look official and still be fake.
