That doesn’t really follow from what we’re shown. The Cataclysm and destruction of Khaenri’ah were tied to the Abyss, with the Sinners being responsible for unleashing those Abyssal forces, and the Captain literally says the Abyss destroyed his homeland, so I don’t understand why that would automatically mean Morax turned against Celestia afterward. The Heavenly Principles sending forces to contain the aftermath doesn’t prove Morax became opposed to Celestia either, and people also keep conflating Abyssal contamination with the curse of immortality: prolonged Abyssal contamination is what causes the physical corruption and transformations we see in Khaenri’ahns, while the immortality curse itself wasn’t what turned them into monsters; it kept them from dying and returning to the Ley Lines, essentially trapping them in their existence.
