Nailtiques Formula 2 is the best base coat in the world. It makes your nails stronger and less likely to chip, but they still half enough movement to not snap. I always can get 2 weeks of wear out of my polish bc of this base coat

try to find a PVB free base coat! I love love love mooncats getting even Nail Primer because it creates such a smooth surface for nail polish. it dries down quickly and sticks well to my nail. I am trying to grow out my nail stains so I will sometimes use two coats of it or I will use one coat of mooncats getting even and another sheer/light polish on top as an extra layer. I use lights lacquer strawberry boba on top usually if I choose a color that stains and it helps a lot. removal of the polish is also crucial to help prevent staining. I like to do the nail clip method but olive&June nail polish remover pot is also great and prevents stains too during removal!

i used Holo Taco's base coat (blue) up until a couple of weeks ago - i still saw some staining but imo not nearly as bad as when i wasn't using any at all. just started using Mooncat's base coat and i like it a lot so far, but no notes on staining yet!

holo taco smoothing base is really good for preventing stains. ive used VERY staining polishes without base coat and gotten very pink/orange looking nails but those same polishes do nothing when i use that base. personally i like the pink base but i dont know if the formula is much different or just the pigment

ilnps base coats have helped me alot with staining, I use 2 coats usually, and my Manis are usually holo taco (which has a few big stainers). I am growing out my stains using ilnp base coat and it's been great. I usually look into which polishes I own are biggest strainers before I decide how many base layers I'm going to use.

I like the hydrating base coat from kbshimmer, it's an indie brand. the why is because it's pvb free which causes peeling for me and I needed something to help my dry nails😅

Technically not a base coat but Londontowns Kur Ridge Filler. It looks like natural nail so you can wear it on its own, and it’s really tough. You can be really hard on your nails and it doesn’t budge.

I've seen people use holo tacos pink smoothing base and two coats. it works but it will take longer to dry with so many layers
