Another thing to keep an eye on is when loan officers build your escrows. Loan officers can and will put the minimum to build your escrows to make their closing cost look good. Make sure you look up your states property tax due dates and you’ll have a good idea what should be in there

This is too real. Lender on my first home thought he had a lick. I caught so much stuff. I’ve worked in finance. They had new clue. The amount of things they had to do for me to “make it right” you wouldn’t believe. Had the VP of the company calling me to iron out my wants.
