Yes I’ve been to all 5 Spanish missions there in San Antonio, plus the mission in Goliad & the one in El Paso.

I did the full pilgrimage earlier this year. Started at Mission Espada and ended at San Fernando Cathedral, about 15 miles
total. Amazing experience!

my Great Great grandparents were a part of taking care of the livestock at Mission San Jose.. my dad always kept a record of his family grave sites and our history, his grandparents are buried in Elmendorf, Tx.. just interesting to know that I had a little family history that built San Antonio..

If you follow water aqueducts, they are built like the Romans did

i am a Canary Is descendant and our families brought all of the art work and.statues that you see in the San Fernando Cathedral, which a lot of it has been restored or.replaced due to.arsenist setting the church on fire

I get a kick out of tourists from all over the world walking in during a church service,a wedding or baptism at San Jose and seeing people that look like the original inhabitants. I’ve been in the church a few times when this actually happened. 😆

I've also been to Goliad and Ysleta. There's a marker in Nacogdoches at the site of the mission that was built there.

If you haven’t done it yet, I highly recommend the trail ride between all the missions. If I remember correctly, excluding the Alamo the ride is 18 miles one way. It’s such beautiful scenery

It's sad they built apartment complex right next to one of the missions. It's going to ruin the area. When you go to the missions in the Southside, you are transported back in time.
