💖#carslan #kemlot
A student built an acoustic levitator using an Arduino Nano, a motor driver, and around 60 ultrasonic transducers. 🔊 The transducers emit sound at about 40 kHz. When those waves meet, they create standing-wave pressure pockets in the air, and tiny lightweight objects can get trapped there and appear to float. So it’s not real “anti-gravity” — gravity is still acting. The sound field is simply pushing back hard enough to hold the object in place. Break the wave pattern with your hand, and the object drops. The same basic idea is used in research to move droplets, particles, and delicate samples without touching them. 📸 Credit: u/williamlk5341 on r/arduino 📚 Based on the “Acoustic Levitator” Instructables guide #AcousticLevitation #Arduino #Physics #Engineering #Ultrasound
