@joeymarketing_homesvs: Marketers love telling you, “We’re getting you customers for a $150–$250 CPA.” Okay… but is that your REAL cost per customer? If you’re paying the marketing company $5,000–$10,000 a month on top of the ad spend, that management fee needs to be included in the equation. If you spend $10,000 on ads and $7,500 on management, you didn’t spend $10,000 on marketing. You spent $17,500. Now divide that by the number of ACTUAL NEW CUSTOMERS you acquired. That’s your real customer acquisition cost. And I honestly don’t care how many “leads” you generated. You can have 500 leads and still lose money. What matters is: TOTAL MARKETING SPEND ÷ ACTUAL NEW CUSTOMERS = TRUE CUSTOMER ACQUISITION COST. Then take it another step: How much revenue and gross profit did those customers actually generate? Stop getting distracted by impressions, clicks, leads, and pretty marketing reports. How much money went out? How many real, booked customers came in? And how much money did those customers produce? Those are the numbers that actually matter.
