The movie was definitely more Horror Comedy, also was SUPER GOREY but I personally loved that. And this definitely was less of an adaptation and more of a movie just taking place in the same time line 💪

I watched it a few hours ago and I felt like it was exactly as expected, just an alright movie, the only thing that bothered me was that it took place in the raccoon city outbreak but other than that I just feel neutral towards it

I actually think it would have been better if it wasn't a resident evil movie. Like, legit, it was a fantastically good horror movie and the RE Fandom did not deserve it.

loved the movie 10/10 will watch again. Said that, if the entire marketing for the movie was like "this is INSPIRED by resident evil but totally not about to be an adaptation" would do wonders actually. the lowest points for me were when the movie was kinda "forced" to bring RE lore into it and it just kinda... didn't really want to get anywhere with it... so they throwed some buzz words like umbrella, virus, lab and called it a day

It's like they had a script for a zombie movie, and then inserted a checklist of visual callbacks to the games. The virus acts nothing like in the games, ghe zombies have 0 visual or ability consistency, they clearly aren't the zombies in resident evil games. It's like the lerson who forced the RE references in didn't understand the games, and that las plagas is not the t virus, and he also didn't know what the t virus was supposed to do
