If you like this recipe, you’re going to LOVE the 100+ other delicious, authentic Asian recipes in his book – order it anywhere books are sold! Recipe ➡️ 1 1/2 pounds flank steak or rib eye 1 egg white, beaten 2 tablespoons soy sauce 1 tablespoon cornstarch 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda 1⁄2 ground white pepper FOR THE SAUCE 1⁄4 cup sweet chili sauce 3 tablespoons oyster sauce 2 tablespoons soy sauce 2 tablespoons sriracha 2 tablespoons ketchup 1 tablespoon cornstarch FOR DREDGING AND FRYING THE BEEF 2 to 3 quarts neutral-flavored oil 1⁄2 cup cornstarch FOR STIR-FRYING AND SERVING 3 garlic cloves, minced 1 large white onion, sliced 1⁄4 inch thick 2 Fresno chilies, thinly sliced lengthwise into 1⁄2-inch strips 4 red Thai chilies 2 tablespoons distilled white vinegar In a medium bowl, toss the beef with the egg white, soy sauce, cornstarch, baking soda, and white pepper until evenly coated. Marinate for 15 minutes. In a small bowl, combine the sweet chili sauce, oyster sauce, soy sauce, sriracha, and ketchup. Stir in the cornstarch until no lumps remain. Set aside. Fill a large wok with 3 inches of oil and heat over high heat to 350°F. Set a wire rack inside a baking sheet or line it with paper towels. Spread the cornstarch on a large plate or baking sheet. Add half the beef and turn to coat evenly, pressing the starch onto the slices. Shake off any excess. Gently add the beef to the oil and fry for 3 to 4 minutes, until golden brown. Transfer with a spider strainer or tongs to the prepared baking sheet. Skim and discard any fallen dredging bits and return the oil to 350°F. Dredge and fry the remaining beef the same way. Turn off the heat and discard all but 3 tablespoons of oil from the wok. Discard the marinade. Return the wok to medium-high heat. Add the garlic, onion, Fresno chilies, and Thai chilies and stir-fry for 2 minutes. Return the beef to the wok, add the sauce, and cook for about 2 minutes, stirring, until thickened. Add the vinegar and cook for 1 minute, stirring to combine. Turn off the heat. #EasyRecipes #Recipe #recipes #beef #crispychilibeef
