short scales can look a lot bigger if fretless but I've had quite a few bass guitars the cheap ones they make now which CNC copy to the millimeter fakes very very good I don't believe you could get better for the money and they come with actives so in recording it really makes it sound different to everything else almost like something electronic depending on the device you're recording on and what kind of drum beats machine or apparatus you use but every recording system have its limits so just to pocket recorder or even using a supermarket prepaid because I had one cent to me by the phone company I quit and it did very good audio recording as I thought it would and for the money you pay 20 years ago on the first digital pocket SD card recorder it's been eclipsed by smartphone technology and for basic click tracks you don't need to spend that much that like what you're doing I would waste the money on something photogenic that suits you and I think what you're doing is maybe the best way to learn but it depends on how you hear the music and if you can play it from hearing it which I do everyone is different and people that went to university with degrees for music they can't write their own stuff this no creative ability but you give them shape music and theres no problems people fail to understand this music you're playing comes from individuals in a band not session musicians standing behind Hollywood records girls since Miley hit big they're all pretty much nameless and standing in the background with a different person per video but a lot of individuality has been holocausted whole streets vanish into generic housing and all the cars are the same and the people too
