@jamus9254: Vitality are back to winning ways after beating Aurora in the grand final of StarSeries Fall 2026. The team, long the world number one, have been trophyless this season amidst a loss of form and parental leave for William "mezii" Merriman but have broken their duck in Barcelona. The 3-1 win over Aurora came on the same day Vitality beat FURIA in the consolidation final, meaning the side played six maps in the space of one afternoon in order to leave with the trophy. But it was the Vitality of old when it came to endurance and reslience, with star man Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut in superb form on a 1.51 rating. They had not tasted success since BLAST Rivals on May 3, but this was a reminder of the quality the team still possess in the run-up to the Singapore Major. Read more flameZ: "We believe we can get back to [our best]" Aurora had beaten Vitality just yesterday, fuelled by great CT sides on Nuke and Anubis, but with elimination back on the line and Vitality warmed up they could not recapture that form. "After yesterday, we knew what they would do," Shahar "flameZ" Shushan told James "BanKs" Banks post-game, and it was evident on the server with a dominant performance. It was 13-7 Aurora on Anubis last night, but they barely even got going in the rematch as Vitality raced to a 9-3 lead with an eco win in round six turning the tide. mezii ended the first half with a 2.24 rating, and the job was completed on T side with ease in a sharp reversal from the 0-8 T side Vitality posted in the upper final. Inferno was when Aurora woke up, as Ali "Wicadia" Haydar Yalçın stood tall on the B site defence and when he smashed his way past ZywOo in Mid and Long on T side. Down 5-11, Vitality began to claw their way back in and after a flameZ 1v2 overtime beckoned. But Wicadia stole the show once again as he tripled up to tie the score at 1-1. Aurora could not maintain their Inferno form Mirage was Aurora's second pick but if they were targeting any Vitality weakness it did not work. ZywOo was practically showboating, such was the confidence behind his decision making, and it ended an easy 13-4 win. Finally, we went to Cache and ZywOo was once again the man to watch. It was his 1v2 that got us started, and his 3k out Mid was further evidence of the gap between himself and the other nine players in the server. Pre-final MVP candidate Jimi "Jimpphat" Salo told HLTV about his vast reserves of confidence at his new home, but those could not be tapped into as he crumpled under pressure with a 0.81 rating over the grand final. He was not alone – Wicadia was the only one to leave having made a good account of himself, and Ismailcan "XANTARES" Dörtkardeş was even worse with a 0.69 — but Aurora needed all of their stars to overcome Vitality twice in two days. Even then, with ZywOo in such scintillating form, it's hard to see a different outcome as Vitality pick up a crucial title before going to Pro League. #Cs #vitality #aurora #champions #starladder
