You’d think I broke a mirror and was cursed with seven years of bad luck. These past seven years have been filled with Facebook smiles and closet tears. There were times when I didn’t feel like the next year was in my cards. Losing family members and close friends made me feel like I was on a battlefield, hiding behind cover. My weight really took a hit in 2020. I was 275 pounds, and I remember going to the store to buy size 40 jeans. My wife said I might need to go up a size. In my head, I said, “Hell no…”. I went to the gym with my wife, and she was getting me together. Then COVID shut everything down. I was silently excited because I hated being sore. In 2021, I discovered walking and got down to 260 pounds. But I was walking 5-10 miles a day with no real results. So, in 2022, I got a trainer, but I was throwing up every session, so I quit. In 2023, my weight crept back up due to the stress of losing loved ones and having a new baby. So, in 2024, we decided to be more health-conscious and move to Houston, Texas, to be near all these glorious farms and enhance my business relationships. I changed my eating habits and learned about nutrition. Finally, my weight dropped to 240 again. Entering 2025 by the grace of God, we purchased a new house. I just knew I had to get healthy to see my kids grow up in it. Thankfully, my wife found a workout plan that worked for me. It was @F45, a forty-five-minute workout with all the stations set up for me. It made me put my phone down( yes, I was that guy) and actually work out. I lost 10 pounds in one month. Then, I incorporated three-day fasts of either just water or juice, and I lost another 10 pounds. In late 2025, I saw that I was 220 pounds, my lightest I’ve ever been. But the job wasn’t finished. I had been out of shape for too long just to be happy at 220. My new goal was 200 by December 31, 2025. The holidays were tough. Thanksgiving, I had two plates and gained 5 pounds. There was no way I was going to lose 15 pounds in 30 days… at least that’s what the devil said. I worked tirelessly to eat clean, fast, and exercise. Two days before the end of the year I was 205 so I walked 12 miles before new years to make sure I hit my goal. Today, Jan 1st 2026 I weigh 200 pounds, and I’m so proud of myself. My 2026 goal is to weigh 185 pounds, but I also want to increase my muscle mass by 5%. I want to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who answered my calls and texts about my health journey. Your support and encouragement have made a significant impact on my life. I’m committed to this journey and will continue to work hard to achieve my goals. Remember, life is precious, and it’s important to live it to the fullest. #Fitness #healthy #weightlossmotivation #f45 #newlife
