@justice_forthe_voiceless: In Memory of Attie, Wilna & Wilmien Potgieter On 1 December 2010, 6 men attacked Attie outside the farmhouse. The court heard he suffered 151 stab and laceration wounds inflicted with weapons including a garden fork, panga and knife. The pathologist testified that he had been tortured to death. His wife Wilna and 2-year-old Wilmien were inside the house and were forced to witness the attack. Both were later attacked and shot at close range. Wilna suffered deep lacerations to the head and a gunshot wound to the neck. Wilmien suffered a cut to the head and was shot in the back of the head. The killers left a chilling message written in Sotho on cardboard at the farm gate: _“We have killed them. We are coming back." The Bloemfontein High Court convicted the attackers in 2012: Paulus Khumalo- found to have planned the robbery. Sentenced to 2 life terms for murder. - *Tshekolo Letlala (19) and Telleko Seekoei (20)* - sentenced to 3 life terms each for the murders of Attie, Wilna and Wilmien. - Others received lengthy sentences for robbery and illegal firearms. #SAMA28 #heartbreaking #fyp #foryoupage #southafrica
