@stereogum: William Shatner debuted his new heavy metal project in Chicago last night. With his band the *uckers (guitarists Marcus Nand and Britt Lightning, bassist Phil Soussan, and drummer Fred Achin), the 95-year-old ‘Star Trek’ star and longtime recording artist sang classics by Ozzy Osbourne, Motörhead, and Metallica, plus a handful of originals. “You gotta start with the premise that I really know nothing [about metal],” Captain Kirk told ‘The Moynihan Report’ earlier this month. William Shatner and the *uckers will play their second show at Riot Fest tonight, and their album ‘What The F Is Heavy Metal?’ is coming soon on Cleopatra Records. A few months ago, he said he’d booked Coachella. [📹: Nunupics Zomot] #WilliamShatner #OzzyOsbourne #RiotFest
