I was extremely happy my gyno never corrected my ex. He thought that the baby would get poked in the head if we had sex. Trust me there was no way it could have possibly happened.

Not exactly pregnancy related, but I knew a guy once who thought period ‘stuff’ was blue like in the commercials. The resulting conversation about menstrual blood has lived on in my memory for years. I didn’t laugh at him, but I really really wanted to.

My mother had a c section and lost her belly button with it. several years later she wad pregnant with me. My grandmother said she could not possibly be pregnant she didn't have a belly button. She thought the baby was attached to the belly button. This grandmother had 6 kids.

My dad thought I was “advanced” when I was born because I was opening my eyes. He thought it was like dogs where you have to wait a couple days/weeks. OB GYN had to explain to him lol

30 yrs ago my husband and I were having our first baby. We went to our first apt together. My OBGYN basically did a pap. While she was down there she asked my husband if he wanted to see. Excitedly he said yes. I think he thought he was going to see a baby. He came back up and looked very pale. Later did he tell his friend about hearing the babies heart beat no. He said they stuck this jack in there and yanked it wide open. I laughed so hard.

My ex and I were looking at a book about baby’s development and it had drawings at each week. He asked me “where are it’s gills?” I said what gills? He said “you know, the gills so it can breathe in there. Why didn’t they draw the gills?” I was absolutely blown away he thought babies breathed in the womb like a fish.

I made my husband call the after hours line bc I fell and then when I got to the hospital the dr was like your husband was great! I usually don’t let the partner talk to me but he knew all the details and now I see why he wouldn’t want to talk to partners
