I agree big bar for big timber and limbing trees up ends up being faster than a short bar especially when your cutting over 30in trees keeps your from having to walk all the way around the tree just to get your cut to meet up and when your on steep areas its nice to stay on one side of the tree and finish the cut

When we cut Virginia pine that are too big for the delimber I use a longer bar so I don’t have to bend over.💪

My back would hurt to no end with a short bar. That porky pine would kill a man’s back with a short bar. Plus can’t level any pigs ears.

East coast boys could use a little reality. If you ever saw the stumps of big hardwood and Softwood and lousy tired limbing, you’re good! Retired East West logger.
