My partner asked me the other day what I think of the trial as I also went through ppp, I watched it all but he only seen snippets and I said I believe innocent by reason of insanity because of how ppp completely changed me to a different person and he said he agrees and so does my family. I think when people have never experienced or been around someone in psychosis they just can’t understand the extent of what it is. My partner and family admitted to hospital because they knew I wasn’t me and looking back on it all now is petrifying to think about. I never hurt my children or ever had the thought to but myself and my family did know that my kids needed to be away from me while I was in that situation for the “just in case” which sounds ridiculous but it was like I was switching people inside myself I knew I was sick I knew something bad was wrong it was like a switch flicking in my brain but I could still very much do all day to day tasks even better then I normally would! Sorry for the long comment I think it’s just really hard for people to understand the extent of some mental illness I have also never had anything else happen like that since but do still see specialists for checkups and monitoring 4 years later because I’m still scared by what happened
