![[LIMITED RELEASE] I realized the inspiration for these earrings in the middle of making them 🐛🦋 My hubby recently found 8 monarch caterpillars in his beloved front garden, one of which decided to pupate on the side of our building. We watched it create its chrysalis (silly Nora, cocoons are for moths!) and emerge a fully-fledged butterfly only a few days after. What a beauty to behold! Shortly after, I sketched up these earrings without a conscious muse. They went through many a metamorphosis (as you can see from all of the models I made) but I really love their final form. Can you see my subconscious inspiration in the final piece?
