Its worse than 2008 because at least then rent was still $500 a month and we still had $1 menus. Now rent is $1500 for a 1 bedroom and these companies are playing with people's mental with these fake job ads, wasting folks time.

My sister works in insurance. People are canceling their policies for cars they’re still driving even though it’s required by law to have a minimum level of coverage in CA.

I work in a thrift store. Buiness is down Despite the need for cheap gear. But donations are also down. People are hanging on to what they have, making do.

I’m a hairdresser, people are growing in their gray and getting low maintenance haircuts. Lots of people are also losing their hair. Hair is the canary in the coal mine, it’s the first thing to go when someone’s body is disregulated.

i’m a recruiter. the amount of college graduates with masters degrees, teachers, dental assistants, independently contracted truck drivers, medical assistants, and college admissions representatives applying for an entry level sales job with a below minimum wage salary.. it’s sad.

I was in line at the pharmacy and watched an elderly man counting out a bag of change to buy his wife’s heart medication. They were coins from his collection he was saving to leave to his grandkids. I put his meds on my credit card, watching him struggle broke my heart.
