If we teach kids that their body belongs to them, that lesson can’t disappear just because an adult’s feelings got hurt. 🎤 First comment: 🎤 VENT IT: “Don’t be rude, give them a hug” sounds harmless until you realize we’re teaching a kid that politeness can override their physical comfort. 🔄 FLIP IT: Teaching manners still matters. But hello, a wave, a high-five or simply speaking can show respect without forcing affection. ✌🏽 LET IT GO: If we want kids to understand consent later, respecting a simple “no, I don’t want a hug” is a pretty damn good place to start. WTF… respectfully. 🎤
