Agreed! As a director, I will not call Monday or Fri meetings period. I also refuse to call meetings before 9 AM or after 4 PM any day. My go to schedule for all of my meetings are ideally Wednesday between 10-12. T/Th are back up options, but same time slot. I also try to keep meetings to 30 m.

I get invited to roughly 25-30 meetings a week. I respond No to every single one with the exception being if I genuinely have valuable contribution that will make a direct impact for those involved.

As someone who is way more productive and can get a lot more actual work done in the morning … I’d love it if all meetings were in the afternoon … especially the ones where all you determine is when the next meeting is gonna be ! And BTW… the late Friday afternoon meetings are only a “flex” for insecure controlling managers!
