People nowadays want instant gratification and shortcuts instead of realizing it takes commitment, time and consistency over the long term to achieve something. I decided after my 47th birthday last week to pursue a new path into science in the biotech industry. I'm starting at the community college level so I can get a BS in Biology. I realized I had to get a BS in science because my prior degree was in another subject. I start in January. if you don't do anything, the same amount of time will pass by. You might as well make it count and commit to something you want to do.

Undeniable is an excellent word to describe the PhD path! I had to restructure my relationship with school and productivity after my dad passed my 1st year. It’s been frustrating but there’s so much grit involved once you realize how bad you want it, and that you are absolutely capable of achieving it! Going into my second year ready to learn all over again lol

I’ve paid off school loans and saved money by doing the “out of sight out of mind game”. Consistently started being purposefully with my finances. It’s a long game but the goal is achieved!

Haaa! I’m the same way, started with my associates degree and now I just started my doctorate program in August- class of 2030. I literally tell people the time will pass regardless but it can pass and I have My doctorate🥰🤷🏽♀️🤎 Congrats to you!!
