When I should have been going to college - I didn’t. Instead I moved to Cincinnati & lived near the UC campus, so most of my friends attended there. I had a group of guys that lived across the street from me & I hung out with them pretty regularly because I could discuss college basketball (UC was always in march madness brackets.). One of the guys was obsessed with this song. We all came home from the bars & decided to continue the party at their house except he never made it back to the bar. So it’s almost 3 am and we are walking the streets of Clifton with a boombox with that song on repeat trying to lure him out of wherever he ended up. We gave up only to find him home when we got back. I almost hooked up with him that night but the gods of drunkenness were not on our side. Probably a good thing because I wasn’t exactly faithful because I had no business being in a serious relationship- especially with a guy who was off doing basic training. Turns out that guy took karate with my boyfriend & it was super awkward when my boyfriend introduced me to him. I think I played it off like “hey, I think we live on the same street”. I miss my slutty twenties. lol
