In the Resident Evil universe, the Rhodes Hill Chronic Care Center is an important medical location connected to the series’ dark storyline and the treatment of patients affected by the events surrounding the outbreak. The new Resident Evil movie hit cinemas on September 18, 2026, bringing a fresh take on the iconic survival-horror franchise, with an outbreak story set in Raccoon City. The film opened to around $60 million domestically, the biggest opening weekend in the franchise. It’s also receiving strong early reactions, with 95% from critics and 91% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes.
