I’m having a problem with my curls and I was wondering if anyone could help me 🥲 My hair is curly, but the sections at the back of my head always turn out really flat and stretched out compared to the rest. Even when I section my hair carefully and style those parts separately, they still kind of hang down, look less defined, and get a bit frizzy. The front and sides usually curl much better. Does anyone know why this happens or what I could do differently to get more volume and definition in the back? 🫶

off topic but can anyone help me understand what I did wrong?? I did my usual routine, but when I wanted to try something new for volume and definition. I usually put a cream, comb it with my fingers and scrunch before diffuser drying it at medium heat–minimum force, the definition's okay but the volume is always a painn because my hair then sags even though it's naturally incredibly poofy. This time (yesterday) I wanted to do the same thing but with a bit of gel because I hoped it made sense. It looked good when it was wet, and not too bad when I finished drying out, today, it looked so wonky like it lost definition and it looks frizzy. I truly believe my hair's curlier than it is now, especially since it's only been around a year that I started to get back to my curly hair through self-teaching, I dunno how it works and sometimes some chunks of hair that are SOO curly and I dunno how to bring out its maximum curl power or however it's called
