@underbeauty: Brush your teeth twice a day for 2 minutes with fluoride toothpaste. Clean your tongue gently with a tongue scraper or your toothbrush—especially the back of the tongue. Floss or clean between your teeth once a day. Food trapped there can cause strong smells. Drink plenty of water. A dry mouth can make breath smell worse. Clean dentures/retainers properly if you use them. Avoid smoking and reduce foods that noticeably worsen your breath, such as garlic and onions. A sugar-free chewing gum can help stimulate saliva after meals. If it doesn't go away If bad breath continues for 2–3 weeks despite good oral hygiene, see a dentist. Gum disease, cavities, infections, or other conditions can cause persistent bad breath and may need treatment.
