@actuallyanisah: POV: you’re in London but somehow you’ve ended up back in Thailand 🇹🇭😭 Visited Plaza Khao Gaeng in Borough Yards, London Bridge, and I genuinely had to remind myself we were still in the UK. The vinyl tablecloths, cutlery in little metal boxes, the whole setting… it felt like being back in Thailand. Even the staff were lovely, talking us through the menu, explaining the spice levels and sharing their favourites. 🥹 The deep-fried fish was SO good, but the strawberry salad??? An unexpected main character. The perfect balance of sweet, sour, salty and savoury, with so much umami. One bite and I was mentally back in Thailand. I would genuinely return just for that salad. We spent half the meal questioning whether we were actually in London because the food and atmosphere brought back so many memories. Thailand LARPing, but make it Borough Market. 😭 If I’m ever missing Thai food, you know where to find me.
