lol i am indigenous and my grade 2 class was doing a thanksgiving pilgrim and indians kinda deal and i wanted to go as a pilgrim and my teacher wouldnt let me

Omg so we did a "wax museum" thing in 6th grade where we had to dress up as a historical character and people would "push our button" (a dot on our hand) and we would recite a speech in the POV of the character and I chose Harriet Tubman!

I think I dressed as Sacajawea for Halloween once as a kid, despite being white enough to get burned by the moon. I had done a report on her that school year, and thought she was pretty cool.

I remember we did a wax museum in pre-k, I was dressed up as a Native American I don’t remember who I was supposed to be (pls don’t come for me I was in pre-k) and it was the “stereotypical” version with noodles as necklaces (now I look back on that and wither away inside each time).
