@sexydisabledfolks: Between Ed Sheeran’s recent silence on the genoc!de in Gaza and this photo memory popping up of me meeting Motaz Azaiza a year ago at Ayat restaurant, I want to remind everyone that my vocal stance on this issue will never change. Genoc!de is a mass disabling issue, it’s a social justice issue, and it’s especially significant to me as an Arab-American, a disabled person, and a social worker. The first time I pushed past my fear of being judged and decided to express my opinion on here in 2023, I got called “ignorant” among other unpleasant things. I was shocked at the fact that people often choose to advocate for social justice in some regards and not others. However, that’s not how I do things, so this page might not be for you if you disagree. I’d much rather lose opportunities than participate in ones that don’t match my values and beliefs.
