I thankfully only had to do it for 1.5 weeks! if I coud go back I wish I wasnt so anxious about only pumping .5 oz to 1 oz each session. baby was eating everything up. if you're going through this, just know it gets better ❤️

I don’t think any of us do this because we want to… it’s not every feed it’s just if they won’t take boob or bottle at that feed and need to put on weight so we do whatever will get them to drink

I’m not sure if I am triple feeding or not honestly. I feed her on the breast, then like 10-15 minutes later I offer a bottle top up if she’s fussing because she always falls asleep and struggles to latch properly. I usually pump after/in-between feeds. Only time I don’t do that is overnight. Personally I have found a good quality bottle and teat that’s helping us build up the stamina, I’m also investigating other potential causes of the weakness.

how do you know if your milk is caloric enough for baby? my 3 week old has adequate output, but was 3 oz below birth weight at 19 days. Dr thinks I'm not producing enough but diapers tell me otherwise

Been triple feeding for 2 weeks now baby is 4 weeks. Milk transfer is the issue but no tongue tie. Tried to keep him interested in the boob but he gets so tired!! please help!!!!

My first lost 11% of his birth weight. I was told to breastfeed, pump, give him a formula top up AND give him my pumped breastmilk all in one feed. It definitely triggered severe PPD for me. Thank you for providing this education, it is so important.

Do you have recommendations for premie/nicu moms who were told they had to do this? I’ve been doing this for 3 months, but I’m trying to transition more to breastfeeding exclusively with occasional bottle feeding. Also, struggling with getting my son to breastfeed without the nipple shield they had me use while he was in the Nicu 😭

I love that I found your page early on in my triple feeding we were fresh out of Nicu. There was a heat wave. She got some kind of stomach bug. We both did so it was a lot of diarrhea and I knew that triple feeding would keep her intake up, but my supply was good. Her latch was good and I just decided after a week of that that I was gonna just go to breast and pray that she gained weight. Well, she met birth weight and now I’ve been doing it for another week fully breast and our month checkup is in another week and I am gonna pray again that she is gaining weight not gonna stress about it. We’re doing well. She seems happy.

I had a Combs Positive baby and had to triple feed because my baby was too tired to take an entire feed. As soon as baby cleared his jaundice our pediatrician was like immediately stop triple feeding it’s not sustainable. I am so grateful our pediatrician was looking out for my wellbeing in that circumstance because I was so worried he’d rebound if I didn’t triple feed.

Triple feeding actually is torture…they had me doing it while i was in the hospital because baby had low blood sugars. I was also on magnesium and felt HORRIBLE. I came home and couldn’t do it anymore so now I’m just pumping

My baby lost 7% of her birthweight in the hospital so the lactation consultant put me on a triple feeding schedule. I didn’t follow it and 3 days later my baby is back to being just a few ounces shy of her birth weight 🤷🏻♀️

My dtr gave birth via a traumatic C-section, baby in NICU x 1 day, under bili lights for 18 hrs day 2, discharge day 4, dtr back in the hospital day 5 x 3 days with infection/ +blood cultures. Did her best to BF throughout. Went to pediatrician on day 9 and baby was 1 oz under birthweight and they pressured her to triple feed. She did it for 5 days, baby struggling to latch after all the bottles, both miserable. Because of your videos she went back after 5 days and advocated for herself and her baby. She was depressed, stressed and all the joy was gone from breastfeeding and being a brand new mom. They agreed, she is now putting baby to breast almost exclusively, on demand, no nipple shields, great latch, happy baby, she pumps when she feels like it and gives an occasional bottle at night so she can get some extra sleep and they are doing great! Thank you so much!

i am trippl feeding because i had my periods...some before my periods every month my baby refuses the breast ...so i need to maintain the supply then my babys accepts it but there is not enough ( because i havent managed to be consistent with pumping) so i end up pumping ..feeding formula when away from homeand feeding pumped milk at home is this optiomal..no...but i have to do.it.....my baby had a virus this week ...i am on my periods so i am happy i am pumping and continued pumping because my milk really helped him with fever
