This is one I’ll have to disagree with you on. As a mother I would never forgive myself if I did that to my children, and therefore I would never ask for anyone else to forgive me. I would never expect anyone to forgive me for such a terrible thing.

I’ve been saying this for a while. She asked him how they were (as in are we still in a relationship) but never asked for forgiveness/apologised for killing the kids. She has zero remorse.

I wouldn't ask for forgiveness either. I would never stop saying sorry but I know I wouldn't ever feel like I deserved forgiveness.

If I did something like what she did, I would feel it would be disgustingly inappropriate to ask him for forgiveness. How on earth could I expect someone to forgive me for taking everything away from them? I’d feel he didn’t owe me a single ounce of grace.

I wouldn’t ask for forgiveness either because I wouldn’t deserve it after killing my kids, especially from the other parent! I don’t think that makes her a villain because it’s not THAT crazy, and I don’t think he did it so I’m neither stupid or unwell. This is kind of wild, Amy… If you can clearly see she’s still unwell, speculating about her behaviour towards her husband is unprofessional and unkind. I usually agree with you but I feel like you’re taking this a little too personal 😳

Saying she never asked for forgiveness is not the same as saying she never apologized or showed remorse. Asking forgiveness in this instance would be selfish.

Three years after the event she’s still on 1-2-1 suicide watch. I don’t think she’ll ever forgive herself and she certainly doesn’t expect it from others. Why ask for something you don’t think should be given?

nope. i would never ask for anyone’s forgiveness if i did something so terrible. i’d be extremely grateful to receive it, but i couldn’t fathom asking someone (especially the father of the children) for it.
