Don’t forget, you only really have 1 day off, your Friday, you sleep all day, your Saturday, you’re up at night as if you’re still at work and then sleep during the day, and coming Sunday, YOU SLEEP ALL DAY. 😂

YEARS on third shift. Changed jobs three times still some how end up on third shift. Never bothered me. It's the adult ingredients I have to get done. Or the shopping. Stores are no longer 24hr. So I have to adjust my schedule for the weekends to actually get things done. Still hate the sun, not just because I'm a redhead who burns. Absolutely addicted to caffeine. I rotate what I use to keep them effective. Invest in good blackout blindes. Bought a house with no neighbors too close. I don't know how any third shift survives in an apartment places. There should be third shift only places for people to live. Use to use ear plugs, now its quiet enough for me.

This is why I love 2nd shift. First shift has what they consider the best hours, and third shift only has to be clocked in for 6.5 hours while getting paid for 8, but second shift dodges all traffic, and we're paid $2/hour more just for being here.

I started my first night-shift role three years ago, and this is SO accurate 😂 I literally showed up with matching outfits, looking cute, happy, and full of dreams. LOL. Three months later? I was rotating the same three outfits… and I’ve basically been wearing those same three outfits for the past three years. 😂 And sleep? I can sleep through a tornado now. 🌪️My shifts are 12.5 hours! Mind you, I don’t even work on the floor; I do office work, but on night shift, they definitely get their money’s worth out of us. 😂
