White it out with the acid. it's not going to hurt it . it will polish right out. if you plan on polishing it . the white out surface will polish out better.

that bed would great with it acid wash white all the way around instead of that corner you started on. then apply rainx/weathershield or some similar products to seal it in and let dry a couple days to lock in sealant

I always soak it heavy with alumabright then just wash it off if it’s streaks I just hit it again

Acid will turn it white and add a little bit of dish soap too it that way it’s sticks more and doesn’t run
