@kyliemorganmusic: When I was 16, I used to call my local radio station and request my own songs… songs that weren’t even out yet 😂 I’ll never forget a radio jock telling me that a radio station would NEVER play an artist unless they were signed to a major label. So I worked my ass off relentlessly, took every "no" & used it as fuel to the final yes, and at 21, I was lucky enough to sign a major record deal. I’ll always be grateful for that chapter and everything it taught me, but eventually, I started to feel like the thing that was supposed to push me forward was actually holding me back. So I made one of the hardest decisions of my career. I walked away from the biggest label in the world and decided to bet on myself, my music, my fans, and this small but mighty team. And tonight, my song played on the radio all over the country as an INDEPENDENT artist. 🥹 This business is hard. It beats me down constantly. But I love music too much to stop. I love the therapy it gives me, and I love watching these songs become therapy for other people too. Every knockdown somehow gives me another reason to get back up and keep going. Tonight, I’m just really freaking proud. Proud of this team. Proud of this little engine that could. And so incredibly thankful for every single person who has continued to believe in me and my dreams. & the fact that I got to listen to it with the love of my life & my step daughter on the road made it that much sweeter.
