I used to read around 60 books per year. This year I’ve only read 5. It’s something in the water.

I just went through a patch of bad/underwhelming reads. Then I (finally) started Six of Crows and omg, it’s just what I needed, I cannot get enough of it

Do you not rate your rereads on your reading tracker spreadsheet?

In a way, booktok has ruined books. Everyone is writing for tropes.

I’m also having a terrible reading year. Not even in the way that I don’t really love the reads but that I just have no passion for it right now. Nothing has been good enough to get me to read like I was just last year. 2026 has sucked!

I haven’t been able to get through a book since June. I’ve tried! I think it’s me rather than the books! I’m broken!

It’s been a HORRIBLE reading year. I’ve read 37 books and aside from rereads only 1 of those books (When the Wolf Comes Home by Nat Cassidy) has been good

are you going to read the sequel to Cemetary Boys? I remember how it made you cry on the plane. And I think you re-read it, too. I have it saved as a "when I need a good cry" read.
