Best powershots are when they don’t dive, a curler looks better when they do

When the gk dives it shows the goal is genuinely unstoppable when he doesn’t dive it looks like you got hella lucky the gk didn’t try so it look better when the keeper dives

It depends. There’s that messi goal against PSG during covid, navas totally ruined it by his awkward attempt to save it

It depends if the shot is a finesse, or just straight power

a good example is lennart karl’s goal vs mochengladbach. it’s a perfect finesse shot into the top left but since the keeper didn’t dive it looks kinda mid

Depends on GK, if you made Onana stay still, it’s not that good, but when Ronaldo did the bicycle kick against Juventus in UCL, Gianluigi Buffon just watched it go in, which is how how you know it’s a banger

As a goalkeeper I think it’s better when a keeper dives, sometimes a keeper not diving is because he can’t see fast enough to react due to a player hiding/ blocking the ball, his footing is off, his position is off, or it’s just faster than he can react

I genuinely feel the goal even more the keeper try their best to save especially mid air. The only exception is a deflection and the keeper just looks at it

When the keeper dives yk the player that shot it has a crazy chance to score esp when there is a curve on the ball
