@natleerose0: I was 18 years old, had been living in Manhattan for only a few days, and my dad worked at World Trade Center 4. 25 years later, I finally tried to tell my 9/11 story from beginning to end. I thought I could do it without crying. I was wrong. Part 1. 🇺🇸 #September11 #911Story #NeverForget #NYC #September11th
So sorry. Even for those of us that remember where we were it's hard. I can't imagine the devastation of loosing a family member or friend.

I remember that morning so clearly, so devastating! I had moved to the U.S just 8 months earlier and was living in Jersey City. The day before I went to my sister's pffice in downtown Manhattan because she was helping me find a job. I got out of the WTC train station, looked up at the towers and told myself: I am in effing NYC! with a feeling of immense pride.
The following day I was looking at the same towers falling on live TV and no news from my sister. Her office was within walking distance of the WTC and she had gone through there 15-20 minutes before the first plane hit. She did get a phone call and called us to say they were evacuating the building. After that it was just uncertainty. Finally that evening she called her husband from Hoboken. She was one of many rescued by those water heroes boats. I remeber her saying all they could do when the towers came down was run, run like a lion is chasing you and you can't even turn your head to look back.

New follower here. Thank you for sharing your story. I think it’s important that we hear all we can about that day. My mom is from New York, and I have many family members still there, but most were on Long Island. One of my cousins though worked near the World Trade Center, and from their building of course they could see people, jumping out of the windows, and unspeakable things landing on the flat roofs near them. It’s just horrifying. I’m glad you and your family were safe.[Pink heart][Pink heart][Pink heart]
