genuine question, if i am putting my wet/damp moisturized hair in tight and confined styles like braids and twists, should i be using a diffuser to make it dry faster? i struggle to put my dry hair into a confined style like a braid or twist, but if i do it while it’s wet it stays damp for a long time

One summer I had damage that looked similar but it was from the sun and / or being at the beach and going in and out of the water. I learned my lesson. Ever since then I wear a hat or scarf the direct sun and If im gonna swim or my hair is gonna get wet I’m wearing a Swim cap period
