If it makes you feel any better, I dropped my Mom And Dad on the floor, and I sat and cried for three hours because I couldn’t figure out who was who to put them back 😅 tried by colour size texture and then I just told them both that they’re just stuck together no matter what and I was really sorry 😂😂

I accidentally poured some of my dad down a sink drain trying to put some ashes in a necklace. I cried for an hour because I couldn’t get him out so I poured some whiskey down the drain before I turned the water on.

when we were spreading my husband's ashes, the wind shifted as my daughter threw some of him in the air..."AH I GOT DAD IN MY EYE" so now she jokes about how he helps her see things lol also...we panicked because he was on our hands and didnt know if we should wash them or wipe them on our pants...he is in our pants now.

The first time I opened my mom’s ashes to do this, nobody warned me about the chips of bones left over. The panic that followed after was the worst.

I didn’t use gloves. Everyone thought I was gross or it was morbid. All I kept thinking was this is still my father I am apart of his flesh and blood and that’s all this is. If touching his ashes was the last time I really got to touch him then that’s what’s happening. I didn’t wash my hands right after it really only got on my finger tips but I just let it be for awhile.

This might help you like it helped me, when I was putting my moms ashes in a necklace some of her spilled and I didn’t want to wipe her away so I used her favorite blanket to clean her ashes, that way she’d be in the fibers of something that gave her comfort when she was alive 🫂 so very sorry for your loss
