@channelnewsasia: Opening up has not always come easily for Fel. Diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder as a child and as an adult, the 28-year-old says fear of rejection can sometimes lead her to go along with what others want, even when it goes against her principles. At the School of Yapping, a workshop series for youths to build social confidence, Fel reflected on how people face their challenges. “The whole workshop ... has made me realise that everyone has challenges. It's just that how we face it head-on rather than shunting back and then running away,” she said. After completing the workshop, Fel challenged herself to have a heart-to-heart conversation with her sister about why communication between them can be difficult.
