@manofinfluence: Isaac the Syrian (c. 613–c. 700), also known as Isaac of Nineveh, was a Christian bishop, monk, and ascetic writer from the Church of the East. He became known for his teachings on prayer, repentance, humility, and devotion to God. “Blessed is the man who makes himself deaf to every pleasure that separates him from God.” — Isaac the Syrian Not every pleasure is worth pursuing. Some things feel good for a moment but slowly pull your heart away from what truly matters. Real discipline is knowing what to walk away from—even when you want it. #isaacthesyrian #faith #wisdom #God #selfcontrol
