dont call conservation unless you want the cub dead. All they will do is put it down and say it didnt have a chance cause its not with its mom. Made the mistake in calling them one time after finding a bear cub trapped in some rip rap rocks. Never doing that again.

just released him on shore to fend for himself? what if his mum is on the other side of the lake and theyll never be reunited, this bear will perish by himself hes just a baby

Great story, sometimes wild animals need the help from humans. Back in the 70's in a remote community, my grandma found 2 orphaned cubs, so naturally she took them home, fed them and raised them until fish n game got wind of it and took them. There's photos for proof we share with our kids now.
